Juan Sebastian Orjuela

Juan Sebastian Orjuela is a third-year veterinary student at the Ontario Veterinary College in Canada. He is the co-founder of the Latinx Veterinary Medical Association, the first association of its kind to represent Latinx veterinary professionals in North America. He was born in Bogota, Colombia and moved to St. Paul, Minnesota when he was 10 years old. He obtained a Bachelors Degree in biology and conservation environmental sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Juan, aka \"@juancho.the.student.vet\", has created social media platforms on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube that focus on diversity, health and wellness, and entrepreneurship in veterinary medicine. Juan has a passion for small animal medicine and is interested in rehabilitation, ophthalmology, and surgery. One day he hopes to become a multi-practice owner that celebrates diversity and inclusion in the veterinary profession.
