Dr. Laura de Armas is an emergency veterinarian at Veterinary Emergency Group and a recent graduate of the University of Florida with special interests in business and surgery. Graduating with honors, she completed additional certificates in shelter medicine and veterinary business management. Laura is a Cuban immigrant that moved to Miami with her family in 2004 and completed her undergraduate degree in Biology and Studio Art at Tufts University in Boston. In her spare time, Laura enjoys SCUBA diving, underwater photography, spearfishing, hiking and exploring the world. She shares her home with two rescued dogs, Luna and Buck, and a rescued ball python called Rona.
