Mackenzie Gelernter is a second-year veterinary student at the University of Georgia. She plans to be a general practitioner for small animal medicine following her graduation in May 2022. Mackenzie is passionate about creating a community within veterinary medicine that focuses on mental well-being. She believes that practicing mindfulness and meditation can lead to a happier life ultimately allowing veterinarians to do their jobs better.
